At 13, I first heard "You know, Adam, college isn't for everyone", which was code for "you're not smart enough."Â
This message followed me for years, chipping away at my confidence as I watched others succeed around me.
At 28, I finally stopped listening to those old voices. As a working father of two, I enrolled part-time at a community college where exceptional teachers showed me a simple truth: anyone who wants to learn can learn, given educators willing to remove obstacles.
That experience boosted my confidence as a learner and led me to online courses to complete my bachelor's and master's degrees. Along the way, I discovered my passion for digital course design and its ability to adapt to learner's needs. Now, pursuing my doctorate while working as an instructional designer, I'm committed to creating learning experiences for all who want to learn.
